Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union house minister Amit Shah should take duty for Covid-19 deaths after holding a number of election rallies in West Bengal, former Karnataka chief minister and chief of opposition Siddaramaiah stated on Sunday.

In a sequence of tweets, Siddaramaiah stated: “@narendramodi & @AmitShah should take responsibility for the loss in West Bengal and also for the death of many innocent people due to #Covid19.”

“@BJP4India ignored all expert warnings related to #Covid19 & went ahead by pressurising ECI to conduct elections in West Bengal. It is their selfish motive that led to the rise in #Covid19 cases,” he added.
