After advancing into most elements of the nation, together with many elements of northwest India, monsoon’s progress is prone to decelerate, India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated on Monday.

Monsoon has thus far superior into total peninsular India; east central; east and northeast India and a few elements of northwest India. It progressed in a short time over most elements of the nation within the span of solely 10 days, primarily on account of lively monsoon circulation and the formation of a low stress space over Bay of Bengal.

“However due to approaching of mid-latitude westerlies winds further progress of monsoon over remaining parts of northwest India is likely to be slow. The progress of monsoon is being monitored continuously and further update will be provided on daily basis,” IMD stated on Monday.

The northern restrict of monsoon (NLM) is passing by way of Diu, Surat, Nandurbar , Bhopal, Nowgong, Hamirpur, Barabanki, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Ambala and Amritsar.
