An Indian Army soldier was killed in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan within the Nowshera sector of Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officers mentioned on Friday.
Havildar Sambur Gurung (36) was critically injured within the unprovoked ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector and later succumbed to his accidents, the military mentioned in an announcement.
“Havildar Sambur Gurung was a brave, highly motivated, and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty,” Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, defence spokesperson, mentioned within the assertion.
He added that Indian troops responded strongly to the enemy fireplace.
Gurung hailed from Manbu village in Nepal’s Gorkha district.
In a separate incident, a lady, Hakam Bi (58), of Lanjote village in Mendhar sector, died on Thursday after she had sustained accidents resulting from Pakistani shelling the day gone by. Another girl, Resham Bi (60), was additionally killed on the identical day.
