The Karnataka authorities on Friday determined to reopen engineering, diploma and diploma faculties that have been shut for college students because of the COVID-19 pandemic from November 17.
“In a meeting that took place under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister it was decided to reopen degree college from November 17. Engineering, diploma and degree colleges will all start,” Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan stated.
Speaking to reporters after the assembly, he stated college students can have an choice to both attend the courses bodily or on-line or can go in for blended studying through the use of each choices.
“Students can register online, those students wanting to attend classes by coming to colleges should have consent from their parents. Depending on the strength- how the classes have to be held, in how many batches- everything will be decided along with all the necessary safety SOPs,” he added.
Narayan, who can be the incharge for Higher Education Department stated for college students who will keep at SC/ST, social welfare and OBC hostels all vital security measures can be taken, additionally vital transport preparations can be made to facilitate easy conduct of courses.
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa chaired the assembly of officers from well being, social welfare, backward class, finance, transport and schooling departments, together with Narayan concerning beginning courses in diploma faculties.
